
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA)鈥擨n recognition of Black History Month, 51成人导航 will host a lecture on the historic impact of Brown v. Board of Education (1954) and the critical role of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall in challenging racial segregation in public education. The event will take place Thursday, February 26 at 11 a.m. in the STEM Building Lower Lobby on 51成人导航鈥檚 Marple Campus (910 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA 19063).
Led by 51成人导航 professor Keeley P. Mitchell, JD, MBA, MAHD, the presentation will examine the legal and social context surrounding the case, the strategies used to overturn Plessy v. Ferguson (1896), and the broader implications of the Supreme Court鈥檚 decision. It will also highlight Marshall鈥檚 enduring legacy as a civil rights attorney and future Supreme Court Justice and invite reflection on how this landmark ruling continues to shape conversations about educational equity and access today. The lecture is free and open to public, and a option is available.
